INSTRUCTOR BIOS

Sterling Mansoori

Dr. Mansoori is the Founder and Director of SHC Massage School. A specialist in healthcare management with over 20 years of experience in Information Systems, he has consulted with a number of hospitals nation-wide to plan, design and implement their Management Information Systems. He worked as a Quality Assurance Reviewer and Business Manager for an internationally known company eleven years. He developed and copyrighted the software Patient Tracking System known as PTS and served as a Data Processing Manager for a major hospital in Dallas, Texas. He is a U.S. citizen who has lived in Dallas since 1979. He studied at Southern Methodist University, Oklahoma University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, University of Southern Mississippi and University of Tehran; Dr. Mansoori holds degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science and Operations Research. Sterling is also a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor and is certified as a Project Manager Professional by the Project Management Institute.

Vahideh Melinda Mansoori

Dr. Mansoori is a Doctor of Naturopathy, Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor and serves as Director of Education of SHC.  She offers students a wealth of experience in the field of Massage Therapy and presents an exceptionally friendly and comfortable teaching presence. As Director of Education, she is responsible for the overall quality of curriculum and educational program development. She teaches a variety of Massage Therapy courses including Anatomy & Physiology, Hydrotherapy, Health and Hygiene, Business and Ethics and Swedish Massage Technique.

Steven Wiley

Steve has been a massage Instructor in the Dallas area for the past fourteen years and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over seventeen years. He has an unmistakable and infectious passion for teaching massage. Steve’s ultimate motivation to be an Instructor is that people will be empowered with more possibility to help themselves and others. While he teaches all of the basic and advanced courses at SHC, his favorites are Anatomy & Physiology and Kinesiology.

Amy Scottino

Amy graduated from SHC in 2001 and has been practicing massage in many different capacities ever since. Most recently, she is helping a Chiropractor's office with their patients’ health and overall wellness. This is where she has been able to fully express her passion for Manual Lymphatic Drainage and pass her education on to help the health of the patients. Over the years, Amy has been trained in Reflexology, Prenatal/Postpartum/L&D Massage, Infant/Toddler/ Adolescent Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Geriatric Massage, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Craniosacral Therapy and received her Massage Therapy Instructor License. Out of everything she does, her true joy is helping others above all. Her teaching style is mostly centered around interactive learning so all learning types are able to get involved and not just learn but retain the information. She is married to her husband of 10 years and has two happy daughters that are the light of her life.  Amy enjoys movies, roller skating, swimming, reading, sewing, crochet and the holidays. She has a light in her eye and happiness in her voice when she talks and teaches!

Stanton Daniels

Stanton attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, studying Education, Sociology and English Composition. His attentive student focused approach to education ensures each individual develops and retains the knowledge and skill for a long lasting, successful bodywork career. His experience working in almost every facet of the massage industry, from sports rehabilitation clinics to luxury day spas, provides a realistic practical perspective to help therapists find their true passion in bodywork.

Stratton Poulson

Strat is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor and Continuing Education Provider.  He specializes in Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, and Applied Anatomy & Kinesiology. In addition to massage training, Stratton is a black belt martial artist and a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). This unique combination of skills creates an Instructor and therapist who is exceptional at helping both entry level and experienced therapists hone their skills and achieve outstanding results for their clients.

Ritu Bhalla

Ritu completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurveda from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak in India. She stood sixth in the university. Before moving to the U.S., Ritu worked as a lecturer at the Ayurvedic Medical College in India. She worked as an Ayurvedic practitioner in an Arthritis clinic besides having her own practice for 4 years in India. She has over 20 years of experience in Ayurveda of which more than 7 years has been in DFW area. Ritu has been a guest speaker at UNT for the last couple of semesters, introducing Ayurveda to students as part of a Stress Reduction through Movement program. She conducts monthly workshops and webinars on various topics that Ayurveda can help. She has taught and continues to teach at Collin County College as a part of the Counselor Education Program. She has been a speaker at Texas Medical Association Convention for CME on Holistic Medicine for 2014-2015. Ritu has been invited as a key note speaker to introduce Ayurveda by numerous companies in Dallas. Ritu is also an active member of AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America.)
